Adam Lambert is outed! For being a ginger, that is. After competing on the eighth season of American Idol and nearly winning, Adam Lambert signed with 19 Entertainment and released his hit 2009 album, For Your Entertainment. He followed it up with Trespassing in 2012. Celebrated for his astonishing vocal range, the openly gay pop singer and style chameleon can hide his natural hair color, but he certainly can't hide his star power. While this eye-popping photo of him has actually been doctored by a fan, he is in fact a natural strawberry blonde.

Ten years ago on American Idol, Clay Aiken, a fan favorite, sported dark brown hair and dyed eyebrows to match! Since then, the naturally ginger-haired Aiken has become a household name---having recorded over 4 successful albums and penned a New York Times best-selling book, acted in the Broadway production of Spamalot, and competed on Celebrity Apprentice in 2012 (he came in second). In 2008, within a month of each other, Aiken announced the birth of his son Parker Foster Aiken and came out on the cover of People magazine. Most recently, Aiken has put his ginger locks in the running for Congress in North Carolina. He won the Democratic primary and will face off in the November general election.

The famous country singer rose to fame as one-half of the mother-daughter singing duo The Judds alongside mom Naomi, while younger sister Ashley found her success acting in Hollywood. Most recently, Wynonna traded her microphone for dancing shoes when she joined Season 16 of Dancing With The Stars, but was the first star voted off in week 3.

Here's a woman who knows how to work red. While Florence Welch is actually a natural brunette (shh), she's made being redheaded her signature look. But we can't mention Florence without mentioning her heart-wrenching lyrics and wail-like sound... Her 2011 album Ceremonials hit #1 in the UK and #6 in the U.S. Her collaboration with Calvin Harris on "Sweet Nothing" was equally successful, proving she is red hot!

London singing sensation Kate Nash burst onto the UK music scene at only 20 as a young fiery redhead with her 2007 debutMade of Bricks CD which produced No. 1 on the UK albums chart. More recently, at 26, the British singer sports a modern-day pin-up look with her skunky-punky 'do and a more aggressive sound. American music fans may also know her songwriting skills from the song "I Am Me," that Nash wrote for Willow Smith---yes, THAT Willow Smith: child star, singer and daughter of Will Smith and wife, Jada.

Caught with his hair down! Willie Nelson, the iconic country music singer-songwriter, is a a veteran redhead. The talented musician from Abbott, Texas dabbled in a number of different genres, like folk, jazz, blues and "outlaw country." He is now a liberal activist who supports the legalization of marijuana and the LGBT movement. At the ripe age of 81, it's hard to believe this country crooner was such a "Troublemaker."

Great balls of fire! This retro photo of country singer Reba McEntire shows some redheaded pride. The musician-turned-actress (she had her own sitcom Reba) seems to have found her groove, and some mousse. The Oklahoma-native is a song-writing machine, having released a whopping 26 studio albums, along with a slew of chart-topping singles. Her expository lyrics keep her fans hooked and she currently holds the record for the most ACM Top Female Vocalist Awards and AMAs for Favorite Country Female Artist.

She wasn't nicknamed "Ginger" Spice for no reason--Here's Geri Halliwell spicing up our life and looking particularly gingery. The famous Spice Girl left the group in 1998 due to personal struggles with depression and differences within the group, but she returned after a long hiatus for the 2007 Spice Girls' reunion tour. Outside of her famous musical career, she wrote an autobiography titled If Only and has one daughter named Bluebell.

While Bette Midler has been doing more acting (she most recently starred in 2012's Parental Guidance with Billy Crystal) than singing and has been a "blonde" for several years, "The Divine Miss M" made a name for herself in the 1970s as the brash red-head who belted out Billboard top hits like "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy." Even the title of the singer's 1977 campy TV music special "Ol' Red Hair is Back" (a play on Frank Sinatra's "Ol' Blue Eyes Is Back") played homage to her flaming locks.
