Before stepping into the Tardis: The youngest Doctor had part in British series Party Animals and a bit part in In Bruges before he donned a fez. Best pre-Doctor work: Smith got to take a tumble with former Doctor companion Billie "Rose Tyler" Piper in a guest spot in Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
After his stint as Time Lord: In case you haven't seen him lately, Smith has gotten buffed out for his role in the Ryan Gosling-directed feature How to Catch a Monster, co-starring Saoirse Ronan and Christina Hendricks. Its release date is set for Summer 2014.
