Happy 25th Birthday, Brooklyn Decker! Pictures from Her Past, Present, and Future

We've said it before, and we'll say it again. Aw. So cute. That's little Brooklyn Decker from a family ad in the back of her senior class yearbook in 2005. No, she wasn't a baby genius who finished high school at age 2 and figured out how to age herself super fast. It's just a baby picture. Again—aw.

Here we have Brooklyn Decker in 2004, which was her junior year at Butler High School in Matthews, North Carolina. She's got some serious bangs going on, at least on one side of her face. She also looks tired, which would mean she was like most high school students, staying up late and studying. That's all we did. You too, right?

This clip of Brooklyn Decker on the late, great NBC series Chuck dates from 2009, which means that the lovely lass was just barely old enough to drink alcohol legally. While Chuck had a resident hottie of their own (Sarah Walker, played by Yvonne Strahovski), Brooklyn's visit was quite welcome.

You see that adorably off-kilter look on Ms. Decker's face in this screenshot from her appearance on Ugly Betty? That's why we, and a lot of other folks, think she has a shot at becoming a genuine movie star. Obviously she needs a few hit films. But let us not forget that she's only 25. Even if Battleship sinks this summer at the box office (sorry, too easy), we believe that Brooklyn will have many more chances to prove us right.

You see that smile on Andy Roddick's face? Here's a translation: "I'm married to Brooklyn Decker." Whether or not you believe he's adding a "nyah-nyah" is up to you. Personally we don't think he is. After success on the tennis court and convincing the beautiful Brooklyn to marry him, Andy ought to feel quite secure. By the way, the event the happy couple was attending was for the Andy Roddick Foundation, which was not set up to benefit people who are less attractive than Brooklyn Decker. Because they couldn't raise enough money. (Thank you! Tip your waitresses!)

Here it is! The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2010. Decker was deemed "a perfect '10" by the mag. (Get it? Perfect 10? 2010? She's really attractive and the year is... OK, we'll stop.) She therefore received the seat of honor: the cover. This places Brooklyn in rarefied air with Tyra Banks, Christie Brinkley, Elle Macpherson, Kathy Ireland... she's in good company.

Brooklyn Decker was well cast as the object of Adam Sandler's desire in Just Go with It, costarring Jennifer Aniston. In the flick, Sandler is wearing a wedding band because he uses it to pick up girls. When he takes things too far by inventing a family, he asks Aniston to pretend to be his eventual ex-wife. Hey, he did it for Brooklyn. Wouldn't you?

"Who needs swimsuits? We have Brooklyn Decker." So reads the caption on the cover of the February 2011 edition of Esquire magazine. We tend to agree. As do millions of men everywhere. Then again, in a swimsuit, she shows more skin than she does with the towel.... Nope. Not gonna go there. Nuh-uh.

So yeah, Battleship. This movie is indeed based on the board game. Wisely, it would appear that the filmmakers took liberties with the license; if not, this could have been My Dinner with Andre except with little plastic pegs instead of salt shakers. Brooklyn Decker plays Samantha; based on the trailer, we have determined that she is Liam Neeson's daughter and the potential future wife of somebody Liam Neeson doesn't like. In that dress, she can play whatever part she wants.

Decker will star in another high-profile project this summer, What to Expect When You're Expecting, based on the baby advice book of the same name. Luckily the filmmakers went the Battleship route and decided not to stick too closely to the source material, which, although helpful to millions of parents, isn't particularly plot driven.
