Father of the Bride was Kimberly Williams' first role, aside from an after-school special in 1990. After her big-screen success, Williams-Paisley went on to star in Relativity, The 10th Kingdom, and According to Jim. In 2003, she married country star Brad Paisley, with whom she has two sons.

George Newbern (Bryan MacKenzie)

Bryan MacKenzie: the man who stole George Banks's little girl and then gave her a blender. Before Bride, George Newbern played Everett Rutledge on the TV series Working Girl and had supporting roles in Adventures in Babysitting and It Takes Two.

After Father of the Bride, Newbern was a series regular on shows like Chicago Hope, Bull, and Justice League. These days he can be seen as Bill on Hot in Cleveland.

Steve Martin (George Banks)

It's pretty safe to assume that before George Banks went on a crazed rant at the supermarket, nobody had ever uttered the phrase "superfluous buns." Suffice it to say, George got himself (and his tux) together in time for the wedding.

Before Father of the Bride, Steve Martin was already an established comic presence on TV and film. After the film's 1991 release, Martin starred in films like The Out-of-Towners, Shopgirl, and It's Complicated. He is also a prolific writer and avid banjo player.

Diane Keaton (Nina Banks)

Unlike George, Nina was thrilled to host her daughter's wedding, understood every word Franck said, and was perfectly content with the number of hot dog buns sold at the supermarket.

Diane Keaton was already a household name by the time she wrangled the crazy of George Banks and a January wedding. Since Father of the Bride, Keaton has starred in films like The First Wives Club, Something's Gotta Give, and The Family Stone. Most recently, she has completed the forthcoming Darling Companion and The Wedding.

Martin Short (Franck Eggelhoffer)

Eccentric wedding planner Franck (it's pronounced Frahhhnk, thank you) refused to compromise when it came to food, venue, swan procurement, and antagonizing George Banks. Before Bride, Martin Short was a well-known Canadian comedic actor, appearing on TV alongside the likes of Dave Thomas and Tracey Ullman.

After Father of the Bride, Martin Short went on to star in The Martin Short Show, Primetime Glick, Damages, and Weeds. Most recently he can be heard as the voice of The Cat in the Hat on The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!

BD Wong (Howard Weinstein)

Franck's right-hand man, Howard played a key role in securing the swans and "cheaper chicken" for Annie's big day. Prior to planning weddings, BD Wong had been featured on several TV shows and movies like The Freshman and Family Business.

Wong is perhaps best known as Dr. George Huang, a psychologist who weighs in on cases on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. However, like his costar Christopher Meloni, Wong parted ways with the series last year. He currently stars in the forthcoming NBC series Awake.

Kieran Culkin (Matty Banks)

Younger brother Matty Banks was fine with whatever went on, as long as he had access to candy. Kieran Culkin, brother of '90s it-kid Macaulay Culkin, was just starting out his acting career and had been seen as Fuller, a cousin with a questionable bladder, in Home Alone.
