Snakkle Looks Back at the Lives and Loves of Real Housewives Kim and Kyle Richards!

Kyle was cast as the opinionated daughter in a family being helped by a ghost from the '20s in the short-lived sitcom Down to Earth.

The Richards sisters were familiar faces on the Hollywood celebrity circuit, appearing at film and TV premieres.

Before Sharon Kathleen Dugan was married to Kenneth Richards, she was married to Lawrence Avanzino and they had a daughter, Kathy Avanzino. The eldest sister in the family, Kathy grew up and married Richard Hilton, and together they had four children—including Nicky and Paris Hilton.

In the mid-'80s, Kyle dated fellow young Hollywood heartthrob and actor C. Thomas Howell (The Outsiders). Ponyboy forever!

Looking to move away from her Disney persona, Kim actively chased more adult roles in films like the raunchy comedy Meatballs Part II and the gang drama Tuff Turf (1985).

At the age of 20, Kim got pregnant and hastily married supermarket heir G. Monty Brinson. Their union only lasted two years, but they remained friends and co-parented their daughter, Brooke.

After the birth of her daughter and subsequent divorce, Kim tried to resuscitate her acting career without much success.

In 1990, Kim appeared in the small-budget film Escape with her sister Kyle.

In the '90s, Kim married oil heir Gregg Davis and left the acting world to raise their two children.

Kyle’s acting career also slowed down in the late '80s, and she married Guraish Aldjufrie and had one daughter. Their marriage lasted just four years. In 1996, Kyle married real estate agent Mauricio Umansky, and together they have three children.

In the late '90s, Kyle ventured back into some light acting, taking a recurring role as an emergency-room nurse in the hit drama ER.

Holy highlights! Believe it or not, the brunette known as Kyle actually dyed her hair a light brown in 1990. With that polka dot dress and those sun-kissed locks, you’d never know her as a Richards sister!

Back to normal follicle color, Kyle also did a one-episode stint on the classic teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210. She looks like she could be Andrea Zuckerman’s BFF, right?

After coming out of acting retirement around 2006, Kim Richards got small roles in films like Black Snake Moan and Race to Witch Mountain. In 2010, Kim and Kyle signed on to do Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Their sisterly drama was a big part of the first season, as was Kim’s increasingly erratic behavior. In December 2011, Kim entered rehab for alcoholism. Kyle has said that Kim is in "such a great place."
