Born in Wales, Christian Bale danced his way into American hearts from one cult classic (Newsies) to another (Swingers). Ann-Margret plays Medda Larkson, a vaudeville star who helps the newsboys with their strike. The PG-13 Gypsy Rose Lee serenades the boys with “Lovey Dovey Baby,” which is one of the songs cut from the Broadway musical.

The Swedish actress has been singing and dancing since childhood. Before Newsies, she put herself on the map in Bye Bye Birdie. Following Newsies, she has gone on to have a successful career in film and television and recently won an Emmy for her guest appearance on Law & Order: SVU.
