Whether you watched the July 29th episode of The Bachelorette, you've probably heard or seen photos of the emotionally bloody aftermath. Poor Desiree Hartsock, she expected something, well, fantastic during her night at the Fantasy Suite with Brook Forester. The bridal stylist broke down in tears during the rejection in which Brooks confessed "I love you, but I'm not in love with you..." and dramatically leaves her sobbing at the end of a pier. Cue sunset. Desiree got the last laugh, ending up with Chris Siegfried. The pair are still going strong.

Deanna Pappas—Now

Deanna Pappas made headlines when she made it to the final rose ceremony of Season 11's The Bachelor, only to be rejected along with the other finalist by Brad Womack. Pappas bounced back as the fourth Bachelorette and chose professional snowboarder Jesse Csincsak; but the engagement only lasted a few months. In 2011, Deanna Pappas married Stephen Stagliano, whose brother appeared in Season 5 of The Bachelorette... proving contestants can find their happy ending. The couple are expecting their first child.

Ben Flajnik—Now

California winemaker Ben Flajnik was the handsome runner-up on Season 7 of The Bachelorette. But luckily for him, for every spurned suitor there's a spin-off Bachelor show waiting to offer up 25 potential mates. In Season 16 of The Bachelor, Flajnik asked Courtney Robertson for her hand in marriage. Rumors soon circulated that Robertson wasn't who she said she was on the show and the engagement ended. Flajnik was recently pictured with Kris Jenner--sparking rumors that the pair are seeing each other.

Emily Maynard—Now

Emily Maynard, the winner of Season 15's The Bachelor, got a second chance at love once her relationship with Brad Womack ended. In Season 8 of The Bachelorette, the Southern belle and mother of one thought she'd found lasting love in her final choice, Jef Holm. Unfortunately, the reality TV pairing also didn't make it down the aisle.

Sean Lowe—Now

Before he joined Season 16's cast of Dancing With The Stars, Sean Lowe was just a hunk on Season 8 of The Bachelorette. After losing out in the finale he became Season 17′s Bachelor and picked Catherine Giudici as his winning woman. Despite living separately in LA in order to stay celibate until marriage, the couple is still happily engaged and planning to wed this January.

Melissa Rycroft—Now

This Dallas, Texas native was Season 13's The Bachelor winner. Jason Mesnick proposed to Rycroft in the finale and then publicly humiliated her months later with a televised break-up on the After The Rose special. Rycroft gave him back his ring and then joined Season 8's cast of Dancing With The Stars. She also appeared as one of Season 15's DWTS All-Stars contestants and won! Rycroft is now happily married with one child. She's currently expecting their second child.

Shayne Lamas—Now

Seasons 12's The Bachelor featured the young, aspiring actress Shayne Lamas amongst the many women competing for Bachelor Matt Grant's attentions. Grant proposed to Lamas in the season finale, but their engagement didn't last more than a few months after the show's air date and the couple officially split in July of 2008. Lamas is now married to her Nik Richie and the couple has a daughter together.

Andrew Firestone—Now

Andrew Firestone (yes, of Firestone Tires!) was the third ever Bachelor to seek love on the reality TV show. He gave his final rose to Jen Schefft. The couple tried to make things work in California but eventually split in December of 2003. Firestone has since appeared on a number of reality TV shows, but found love in real life with the wife Ivana Bozilovic. They have two children.

Arie Luyendyk—Now

Arie Luyendyk was the heartthrob race car driver from the Netherlands who swept Season 8's Bachelorette Emily Maynard off her feet. Unfortunately for Arie (and his fans), Emily gave Jef Holm the final rose. Luyendek made a move to racing super trucks which you can read about on his personal website and blog: ariejr.com.

Jake Pavelka as a Senior in High School

Jake Pavelka—Now

Jake Pavelka, an airline pilot, flight instructor and triathlete, was eliminated toward the end of Season 5 of The Bachelorette. But Pavelka was invited back to the show as the fourteenth Bachelor. True to reality TV show form, there was drama: Ali Fedotowsky walked out in the sixth round and Pavelka ended up proposing to Vienna Girardi... which ended in one of the ugliest he-said she-said media frenzies the show has seen to date. Pavelka then competed in the tenth season of Dancing With The Stars and is now an aspiring actor.
