When Jen was a kid, her full saxophone-blowing lips earned her the not-so-flattering moniker Liver Lips, but when Jimmy Kimmel outed Jen’s former GW pep on a recent episode of his show (go to 2:31 for his reveal or see how he redeemed himself at 3:29), she maintained her pride. "I was proud of it [being a band geek]," Garner told People. "I picked it [the sax] up again a couple of years ago, and I sound god-awful now!" Fortunately, her pouty pucker also came in handy for landing Ben Affleck!

From band geek to badass, the former Alias star has been more soccer mom than superhero of late, but she told Moviefone, more action “is only a few workouts away.” She just needs the right part. In the meantime, you can next see her in Men, Women & Children.

In his memoir My Life, Clinton described his younger self as a “fat band boy” who got mocked for his unfashionable taste in clothes and was even punched by a fellow classmate for his questionable couture. Clinton, however, did not fight back or back down from his attacker. “I just stood my ground and stared at him.… I had learned that I could take a hit and that there’s more than one way to stand against aggression.” (And they say you can’t win wars with fashion.)

Then mocked for her goth hair-color-changing ways, Christina told The Mirror, “I had the worst high school experience ever. I went to a very mean school and was bullied like crazy. I was a bit of a goth with purple hair and I was also part of the drama group, so my friends and I were all weird theater people and everyone just hated us. There was a long corridor with lockers on either side and kids would sit on top of them and spit on you.… Kids can be pretty judgmental about people who are different. But instead of breaking down and conforming, I stood firm.” And now millions of men would weep for a chance to be in the voluptuous star's presence.

These days the striking red-haired beauty is turning heads for all the right reasons—her drama days have clearly paid off. Nominated for five Emmys for her portrayal of Joan on Mad Men, she has no doubt also been the object of affection for many past classmates—who are still just watching from the sidelines. Next up, she’ll be starring in former Drive costar Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut, Lost River. (Sounds like one good-looking film.)

Before she was a special agent, this fiery beauty was voted Most Bizarre and Most Likely to Be Arrested. (They were close: She did arrest bizarre people on The X-Files.) Both descriptions, says Anderson in Out magazine, contained a kernel of truth, “based on how I chose to look, dress, behave, you know—the relationships I was in at the time were freaking people out.” Sadly, her truthful interview also led to her learning a lesson about journalism and life in the limelight. As she posted on her website, “It’s not possible to be honest through the siphon of another.” (If you put it like that, the press are kind of like Hollywood’s mean girls. Ew.)

Next up for this still-stunning mother of three? The second season of crime thriller series called The Fall, and beginning a series regular gig on Hannibal. Also rumored: a third installation of the X-Files movie franchise and a resurgence of the silly (but delicious for our fangirl hearts) idea that she and longtime costar David Duchovny are an item. The latter has been repeatedly denied, but according to the Huffpo, the movie is looking good. (Don’t start getting in line just yet, X-Philes.)

She might have been born this way, but people didn’t always go gaga for this lady. "I'm eccentric and talkative and audacious and theatrical, and I used to get picked on. I got thrown in a trash can on a street corner once by some boys who were hanging out with girls in my class.… The girls were laughing when they did it.”

With her poker face intact, Gaga continues to encourage others via her anti-bullying foundation Born This Way, as well as personally. She posted on Littlemonsters.com, “Music used to embrace diversity, now everyone wants to be the same. I’m sprinting from the sameness.” Go, gurl! Gaga’s fourth studio album, Artpop, hits stores in early 2013. With sold-out tours and millions of record sales, I think it’s safe to say she’s getting the last laugh now. (Take that, bullies!)

America’s sweetheart wasn’t always Miss Congeniality. Before she had a team of stylists and makeup artists to bring out her best, Sandy was picked on for not fitting in. She told ContactMusic.com, “I’d come back from Europe [she'd go to Germany with her opera singer mother Helga], and I looked like a clown compared to the cool way the other students looked and dressed. So I got my ass whooped a little bit. Kids are mean, and the sad thing is that I can still remember the first and last names of every one of those kids who were mean to me!” (I think you can take assurance in knowing they know yours too, Sandra.)

From outcast to trendsetter, Sandy has a resilience that's kept her on top, with credits like The Blind Side (for which she won an Oscar), The Proposal (for which she got to grope Ryan Reynolds's abs), and, of course, being little Louis’s mom. She was last seen in Gravity for which she was nominated for Best Actress.

As a kid, Tiger was bullied by classmates for his mixed race and teased for having a stutter. Woods told 60 Minutes he got over his stutter by practicing talking to his dog: “He would sit there and listen.... I finally learned how to do that without stuttering all over myself." (Wouldn’t it be great if his dog’s name was Lionel—the same as King George VI's speech therapist—and he and Tiger were the real inspiration behind The King’s Speech? Sorry, we digress...)

He may be as famous for his philandering (like you weren’t thinking it anyway) as for his many championship golf wins, but it’s no stroke of luck that Tiger’s hard-working past has gotten him to where he is today–ranked No. 14 in the world! Tom told Parade that happiness is “being able to confront and overcome problems. It’s not running away but trying to see life in its full glory.” As someone who’s overcome being mocked for dyslexia, being the new kid at 14 different schools, and a stint in seminary school to become a priest, he must have a pretty full view of life. (Now he’s just made fun of for being an overly excited Scientologist.)

Though the age-defying 52-year-old is still as busy as ever, Cruise's positive outlook was tested when he went through a divorce with Katie Holmes after just five years of marriage.
