On Rosie O’Donnell’s 50th Birthday, Snakkle Celebrates Her Most Memorable Moments
Everyone knows that Rosie O'Donnell is having a seriously successful show business career; the proof is that everyone knows who Rosie O'Donnell is. Still, it's easy to forget how varied O'Donnell's career has been. She started as a stand-up comic, became a successful stage and film actress, talk-show host, best-selling author, editor of her own magazine, documentary film producer, businesswoman, blogger, philanthropist.... She's one of the few celebrities who actually has "done it all." Ms. O'Donnell turns 50 on March 21, and we wish her the happiest of birthdays and hope she has many more years—and careers—ahead. Yeah, the smiling isn’t so much in evidence in this image from 2007. By then the producers of The View had decided that the audience wanted to see O’Donnell argue with Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The numbers would indicate that they were correct—as we said earlier, ratings for the View were much higher during Rosie’s time as cohost than they were before or after. O’Donnell, however, decided that she didn’t like arguing on television every day, and left before her contract was up.
