Johnny Depp as Raoul Duke in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)
In Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Depp plays Raoul Duke, a gonzo journalist and drug aficionado based on writing legend Hunter S. Thompson. Depp adopts Thompson’s signature look for the part, including his variety of cloth hats, oversized sunglasses, and burning cigarette constantly hanging from his lips. There’s not much Depp left once the actor gets immersed in all things Hunter.
