Hot Gallery: Familiar Faces Return to Mid-Season Shows
These days some of the best stories, scripts, and characters seem to be found on television, which is luring the biggest names to the smaller screen. But it’s also serving to entice a number of TV stars back. In fact, mid-season 2012 is chock full of them! Snakkle caught up with James Van Der Beek, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kristen Bell, and more to discuss returning to medium that made them household names. By Danielle TurchianoNow: After a self-imposed hiatus to raise her children, Peet is back on NBC with Bent this spring, a half-hour romantic comedy about a single mother just trying to start over that she believes has a lot of “sexual suspense” to it.
“It felt different, and since I read Aaron Sorkin’s script, I hadn’t read something that [made me want to] get up at five o’clock in the morning and go to work for it!” Peet said. “Everybody is really complicated, and everybody has a winning moment that, for me, makes it feel like the audience’s allegiances are going to be sort of zigzagging and veering at least for the first six episodes, and that’s what really made me want to sign on [to Bent].”
