You’ve got to be pretty smart to whip up parody songs that eventually top the charts. An accordionist from the age of 6, Al Yankovic learned how to play rock ‘n’ roll on his instrument of choice early on. Also fast-tracked in grade school, Al was two years younger than his peers and was considered a nerd. He threw himself into his music and studies and graduated valedictorian. He then attended the very brainy and prestigious California Polytechnic State University and got a degree in architecture.
