Before They Were Stars
Before These Baseball Players Were All-Stars, They Had To Get Through High School
They say baseball is America's pastime. (We don't know who “they” are either. Sorry. We're working on it.) July marks the middle of a long season for the boys of summer. For us, it's a good excuse to play a game of “Who Am I?” with some of your favorite players that represent their teams on the diamond. Can you guess who's who? Check out these pics to find out! Prince Fielder—Now
Prince Fielder is a heck of a hitter (get it?); he hit 50 home runs in the 2007 season. His father, Cecil Fielder, achieved the same feat many years earlier. (Father and son athletes! Yay!) In 2011, the younger Mr. Fielder was the MVP of the All-Star Game, a feat he will no doubt attempt to repeat when he returns this year.

Hi Sara,Thanks so much for your sweet comments! My book does coaintn a “how to” section, with tips on cutting out felt shapes and guides to all the stitches I use in the book & how to sew on all the embellishments and findings. I really do honestly cut all my shapes out by hand! I have had a lot of practice but I also use a small, sharp pair of embroidery scissors to cut a lot of my shapes – the small blades make a huge difference in the accuracy/detail of the shapes you can cut. They’re the only bit of “specialist” equipment I recommend people buy when starting felt crafting.I hope you’ll enjoy the book if you do end up buying it 🙂
