They say baseball is America's pastime. (We don't know who “they” are either. Sorry. We're working on it.) July marks the middle of a long season for the boys of summer. Paul Konerko—Now
Paul Konerko bounced around a bit at the beginning of his Major League career, but it was all worth it when he signed with the Chicago White Sox in 1999. Konerko helped the team capture a World Series title in 2005, earning MVP honors for the 2005 ALCS. Here’s a video of Konerko hitting a Grand Slam to help the White Sox win Game 2 of the 2005 World Series. The fans were happy, and it appears they still are—Konerko was voted into the All-Star Game for the sixth time.
