The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame—Stars Who Were Snubbed, and Stars Who Snubbed Back
We weren't surprised when Axl Rose announced he would skip Guns N' Roses' Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. It did get us thinking, however. Many artists have snubbed the Hall over the years, including Sir Paul McCartney. But many musical mainstays have been themselves snubbed by the Hall's committee of "rock experts." While not a major issue like world peace, this topic does inspire passionate debate; check out the comments on FutureRockLegends.com. Joni Mitchell didn’t show up for her 1997 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for a very unique reason—she was making up for lost time with her daughter, whom Mitchell gave up for adoption in 1965. You could call that a snub—if you don’t have a sentimental bone in your body.
