Snakkle Exclusive! Catching Up with the Original Cast of Parenthood
The 1989 film Parenthood, directed by Ron Howard and written by the incomparable team of Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel, was well-received and spawned two television series, one of which will soon begin a fourth season on NBC. The original film was an emotional roller coaster that captured what having kids is actually like, which is, well, a roller coaster ride. (It's in the movie, go watch it again.) What have the original cast members been up to? Snakkle got a bunch of the actors together to find out, and we've got the exclusive photos to prove it! By Brett Singer

Mary Steenburgen in Parenthood (1989)
Mary Steenburgen is always good, and Parenthood gave us one of her best roles. As Karen Buckman, she’s an unflappable mom struggling with her kids, her husband, and what the world expects her to do. She’s so… likable. Seriously, doesn’t she seem like someone you could hang out and chat with for hours?
