The 1989 film Parenthood, directed by Ron Howard and written by the incomparable team of Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel, was well-received and spawned two television series, one of which will soon begin a fourth season on NBC. The original film was an emotional roller coaster that captured what having kids is actually like, which is, well, a roller coaster ride. (It's in the movie, go watch it again.) Jasen Fisher in Parenthood (1989)
Jasen Fisher had a memorable big-screen debut as the kooky kid Kevin Buckman. In case you’ve forgotten, here are a couple of great Kevin moments—the diarrhea song, and a personal favorite, the game-winning catch. Stay through the end to see some stupendous happy dancing courtesy of Steve Martin.
