Ted Danson Today
How do you follow up a character as recognizable as Sam? For about five years after the show ended, Danson kicked around a bit, doing guest spots, a couple of unsuccessful movies, and a failed series with his wife, Mary Steenburgen (Ink). Then in 1998 he appeared in the Oscar-winning Saving Private Ryan and landed his second hit sitcom, Becker. That began a bit of a resurgence, and he has since starred in a number of acclaimed series, including Damages, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Bored to Death. He currently stars on the wildly popular crime drama C.S.I.
