Kim Basinger shined as a femme fatale in the neo-noir L.A. Confidential. More importantly, she showed us how to seriously rock a hooded cape. The film was nominated for nine Academy Awards, with Basinger walking away with the only nod for acting in the film. This is impressive, considering it featured such critically acclaimed actors as Russell Crowe, Kevin Spacey, and Guy Pearce.
