Stars Knew How to Work a ’Stache with Panache Before They Were Famous
At some point or another, every guy thinks, “I bet I’d look awesome if I just grew out this thing...” and of course, cute as they may be, they’re not always right. Then again, some stars rock their mustaches so hard, they look, frankly, kind of naked without them. However, in Movember it doesn't matter whether or not if a guy is pulling off his 'stache, it's the statement he's making about men's health. In solidarity with Movember, check out these stars whose follicular follies occurred long before their fame—and some whose 'staches were smashes. By Nina Hämmerling SmithSnider has never strayed too far from his heavy metal roots. His memoir Shut Up and Give Me the Mic came out in 2012 (he also, back in 1987, wrote an advice book called Dee Snider’s Teenage Survival Guide, which, alas, is out of print but looks pretty freakin’ sweet). His reality series Growing Up Twisted airs on A&E. And even his appearance on The Celebrity Apprentice was pretty rock ‘n’ roll—he dressed in drag, busted his finger pretty gruesomely, and had to go under the knife. And the mustache has made reappearances as well: Check him out on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon sporting a Fu Manchu for his role in the Broadway hit Rock of Ages. You can also see him on FearNet’s Holliston.
