20 Years of Soul Singing: Snakkle Catches Up with the Stars of Sister Act
Has it really been 20 years since Whoopi Goldberg and friends shook it up as the sisters with soul in Sister Act? The 1992 comedy starred Goldberg as Deloris van Cartier, a Reno (not even Vegas—ouch) lounge singer who is on the run from her mobster boyfriend Vince LaRocca (Harvey Keitel). When Deloris hides out in a convent, hilarity and singing ensue. The film was a huge box office success, eventually grossing over $200 million worldwide. Snakkle catches up with its stars to find out what they are up to today. By Katherine Butler
Bill Nunn in Sister Act, 1992
As Lieutenant Eddie Souther, Bill Nunn saved the day as the heroic police officer who gets Deloris (Goldberg) into witness protection and later rescues her from the clutches of Vince. Previous to the film, Nunn had appeared in Spike Lee’s School Daze (1988). Lee and Nunn both attended Morehouse College. He made an impression in Lee’s Do the Right Thing (1989), playing the ill-fated Radio Raheem. He also played a kind physical therapist in Regarding Henry (1991).

I like Bobby Jindal for VP. I also like Jonah Goldberg, but selecting a Democrat seems like a long shot.Glad to see you are still out there.
