Jerry Springer—Then
The son of Polish Jews who escaped the Holocaust, Jerry Springer was born in London and raised in New York, where he attended Forest Hills High School. Unlike many of his fellow government-bound celebs, Springer was a politician first and TV star second. After serving for five terms on the Cincinnati City Council, he became, at age 33, the mayor of Cincinnati.
