Jack Black’s slapstick, silly comedy made his role as Dewey Finn an unforgettable, even heartwarming one. His blend of sincerity and goofiness as a “teacher” was particularly personal because of his own past struggles with school, eventually excelling in Drama. Considered one of his career-making roles, it earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy. Since then, he’s starred in King Kong and voiced the Kung Fu Panda franchise. He has two movies in the works: Sex Tape which is comes out this summer, and Kung Fu Panda 3 for 2015. He has two children with his wife, an accomplished cellist, Tanya.
