Before They Were Stars
The Downton Abbey Cast, Before They Were Stars!
Take the British aristocracy, throw in smoldering glances, bickering sisters, true love lost, along with actress Dame Maggie Smith (and her wealthy character’s indicative and innocent dinner question: “What is a weekend?”) and you have the biggest hit to come out of England since Pippa Middleton put on that bridesmaid dress. As we mourn the end of season four of the PBS Hit Downton Abbey—Snakkle takes a look at the cast of our favorite upstairs, downstairs drama…way before Downton Abbey. By Katherine Butler

Thomas Howes as William Mason on Downton Abbey
Poor William. As the kindly footman of Downton Abbey, all he wanted was simple Daisy’s love. Instead, he goes to war, get gassed, and dies a painful death—but not before his coworkers convince reluctant Daisy to grant his dying wish and marry him. (Lucky for William, Daisy is able to keep a poker face through the wedding ceremony.) But weep not for William—okay, Thomas Howes. Howes, a classically trained stage actor who just recently transitioned to TV, can be seen as Yashvin in the 2012 film Anna Karenina.

I agree. Even though I was really interested in seeing the pictures, I got to picture number four and gave up. I’m never usually bothered by pop ups and autoplay videos on other sites, but this site is a nightmare. Such a pity since there was other articles that I wanted to look at as well.
