Andrew McCarthy was at the top of his game when he played young mannequin maker Jonathan Switcher in 1987. Although he gets fired for being too meticulous with his creations, he of course manages to get a job as a window dresser that brings him back together with the one mannequin that made him “feel like an artist.” Then (spoiler alert)… she comes to life! But only he can see her! Which is really awkward when he’s caught kissing her in the bathroom! Look, it’s no Pretty in Pink, but the movie works as long as you don’t expect too much.
