Cher enjoyed a kind of domestic bliss with Kiss guitarist Gene Simmons in the early ’80s, even being photographed for People magazine working on a needlepoint for her man (no joke). At the time, she called it “the best relationship I’ve ever had with a human being.” For his part, Simmons (who now stars in his own reality show, Gene Simmons Family Jewels) was similarly smitten: “I’m crazy about Cher, nuts about her. She’s my first love. Cher’s an untainted soul who has never done anything bad to anybody.”
