"I'm gonna be like you, dad..." Harry Chapin wasn't singing about father and son athletes in his classic tune "Cat's in the Cradle", but he could have been. The song wouldn't have been quite so ironic, though. Most fathers would love to see their sons follow in their footsteps, especially if those footsteps lead to the field of professional sports. Ken Norton Sr. (NFL) and Jr. (Boxing)—Now
The elder Ken Norton was a heavyweight boxer who broke Muhammed Ali’s jaw in 1973. Yes, you read that correctly. Norton won the fight, by the way. Ken Norton Jr. opted for a less violent sport—football—playing in the NFL for 12 years. Here is Norton Jr. running an interception in for a touchdown and celebrating by beating up the goalpost, boxing style. Like father, like son.
