Rene Russo plays internal affairs sergeant Lorna Cole. Her character is partnered with Riggs and Murtaugh in the third film to help bring down a suspected arms dealer who is also an LAPD lieutenant. Throughout the course of the movie, she and Riggs fall in love. In the fourth movie, Cole and Riggs get married and have a baby.
