A theater geek raised in New Jersey, Hathaway performed in plays at the prestigious Paper Mill Playhouse and sang at Carnegie Hall with the All-Eastern U.S. High School Honors Chorus when she was still in high school. At 16, she was cast in the Fox drama Get Real, which only lasted for one season.
