Grant Show appeared toward the end of season 2 of Beverly Hills, 90210 as Jake, who Kelly (Jennie Garth) starts to date. This relationship is set up and carried over into the series Melrose Place, where Jennie Garth appears as Jake’s love interest in the pilot. Darren Star, the show’s creator, and Aaron Spelling used Garth, Ian Ziering, Tori Spelling, and Brian Austin Green to appear in several of the first episodes of the series.
