Our Picks: Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Shia LaBeouf
Shia’s baby face, combined with his confident “young man” swagger, makes him perfect for the mischievous Ferris. Meanwhile, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who became famous as McLovin’ in Superbad, provides the right amount of physical comedy and nerdy fun to be his willing yet hesitant sidekick.

Although the role of Ferris Bueller can never be done quite like Matthew Broderick did it,Shia LeBeough would do a pretty-good job at it!He’s proven in previous roles that he can do mischievous and do it well!! I am not familiar w/anything Minta-Plasse has done so I really can’t comment on him.

The movie for the first Kick-Ass was literally the Sam Rockwell in Seven Psychopaths vsoeirn of the book. Personally, I like the book better because it is much less campy, and things play out much closer to what would probably happen to somebody who tries to be a super hero/pretends to be gay to hang out with a girl/etc. The comic and the film ended with two very different moods so I’m wondering how they’ll interpret the second book to film.
