Jackson was already a seasoned veteran of the small screen when she joined the Townsend Detective Agency, having played Daphne Harridge on Dark Shadows (1970-1971), a slew of TV movies including Satan’s School for Girls (1973), and another Spelling show, The Rookies (1972-1976). In fact, it was Jackson who suggested that Spelling change the series’ title from Alley Cats to Charlie’s Angels. Guess she really was “the smart Angel.”
