After losing some momentum and a few band members in the late ’90s, the Cure reunited in 2009 to rock one of the most talked about Coachella sets ever. Already an established ’80s British gothic rock band known for their mega-long shows, the Coachella crew literally had to pull the plug during The Cure’s third encore in the middle of their international hit “Boys Don’t Cry.” This didn’t keep the band from finishing the song though, causing fans to join in a giant sing-along.
