Kevin Clark played the rebellious drummer Freddy “Spazzy McGee” Jones; true to his nickname, he even ran off at one point in the film to hang out with a bunch of “posers” in a van. During filming, at the ripe age of 13, Kevin was actually the oldest amongst his School of Rock classmates. Despite his character only playing percussion because he “couldn’t play anything else,” Kevin was already an accomplished drummer in real life, having started on the instrument when he was just five.
