The same year Hide and Seek came out, Fanning also starred in one of the year’s biggest blockbusters, the Steven Spielberg/Tom Cruise remake of War of the Worlds. Since then, her career has skyrocketed: She has starred in The Secret Life of Bees, The Runaways, and the Twilight Saga series (as well as offering the voice of Coraline in the wonderful stop-motion adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s novel). Next up (among other projects) is the title role in Emma Thompson’s period piece Effie Gray.
