It was cousins Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell who formed the beginnings of Backstreet, but the band didn’t reach superstardom or land a recording deal until the addition of Nick Carter, A.J. McLean, and Howie Dorough. The quintet’s sweet harmonies captured the hearts of millions, making the iconic boy band “larger than life.” In 2006, Richardson amicably left the group to pursue other interests, but the rest continued to work together on new music. In 2011, they reunited and kicked off a tour with fellow boy band New Kids on the Block. Richardson said that “being back with my brothers again feels great. I love these guys. We have gone through so much together. We just have a chemistry…”
