They say baseball is America's pastime. (We don't know who “they” are either. Sorry. We're working on it.) July marks the middle of a long season for the boys of summer. Chipper Jones—Now
At 40 years old, Chipper Jones is on the upper end of the age curve for a baseball player. Jones announced that he will retire after the 2012 season after spending his entire Major League Baseball career with the Atlanta Braves. The former Floridian currently boasts a career batting average of .304 and was named to the National League All-Star team for the eighth time. Guess he’s going out with a bang.
