Billy Campbell was a young up-and-comer with a charmed life, it seemed, when he first became Alison’s roommate, but it appeared that starting out “just as friends” is what doomed the couple. Of course, all of their other personal relationships didn’t help. It got sticky when Billy was tied to Amanda so tightly because of her pregnancy and eventual miscarriage, but even more so when Alison fled their own wedding because she was never able to face up to some childhood trauma. Timing wasn’t on their side, and Billy ended up marrying two other women before ultimately moving to Rome with Jennifer Mancini.
