Photo Description: Melrose Place was the brainchild of super producers Darren Star and Aaron Spelling, running from 1992 to 1999. (Until it was re-imagined by FOX with a new cast in 2009). The hugely successful show remembered the days of Dynasty and Dallas, reminded us as to why we love prime time soaps. Part of the show’s great success was due to Heather Locklear’s impossibly delicious evil ad exec, Amanda Woodward. When Locklear made a guest appearance on the show’s 2009 reboot, its executives could barely contain their excitement. As its executive producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer told People in 2009, “Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time, as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion.”
